May 6, 2022

Hello Dunham Families,

Next week we start our state testing for grades 3rd-6th.This testing will take place over the next two weeks and start promptly in the mornings.  Below are a few testing tips for parents:

  • Make sure your child gets plenty of rest the night before the test.
  • On the morning of the test, your child needs to get up in plenty of time so he/she won’t feel rushed.
  • Feed your child a good breakfast. Research shows that children do better on tests if they have had a good breakfast.

We have not had state testing since the 2018-2019 school year due to the pandemic.  The students have worked very hard this school year and are going to do great.

We are going to do an impromptu spirit day next week, it will be Warriors Wednesday (5/11).  All students are encouraged to wear their Golden State Warriors gear of blue and gold.

I am excited to announce that we will be having an on campus Open House this school year!  This also is something we have not been able to do since the 2018-2019 school year.  Open House will be on Tuesday, May 24, from 5:00-6:00.  Masks are encouraged when in the classroom.  Open House is also a great time to bring a friend, family member or neighbor that might be interested in sending their child to Dunham.

Take care and have a wonderful weekend,

Daniel Hoffman
