October 29, 2021

Good Afternoon Dunham Families,

The first trimester comes to an end on November 5th, which means parent / teacher conferences are right around the corner.  Teachers have been and will be sending out more information about setting up parent / teacher conferences, which will be held via Zoom.  I would highly encourage everyone to make sure you attend your student’s conference.  It serves as a great opportunity for the school and home to communicate and collaborate about helping our kids.

November has a lot going on, calendar-wise.  On Thursday November 11th, there is no school in observance of Veteran’s Day.  November 15th, 16th, 18th & 19th are all 11:45 early dismissal days for all grades (regular Wednesday 1:30 dismissal on November 17th).  There will be no school during Thanksgiving Break, which is the week of November  22nd – 26th.  When we return on November 29th, the kindergarten students’ day extends to 1:30.  It is a very busy month.

The students and staff had fun and looked great today.  There were so many creative and fun costumes.  Please have a wonderful and safe Halloween weekend.

Superintendent / Principal

PTO Create and Donate on November 6

Hello Dunham families!
Our Create and Donate Sign Party is back! This is a fun filled event for all ages and all crafting skill levels. This project is very simple, yet very fun and satisfying. you start with a blank piece of wood, pick an available decal and paint color(s), paint the wood and apply the vinyl sticker decal. The last step is to take it to your home or work and display it! These also make great gifts! With hundreds of sayings to choose from, you can have a fun filled afternoon and put a good dent in your holiday gifts at the same time. We hope you can join us!

COVID-19 Testing Available at School

We will now be able to offer onsite COVID-19 testing as a convenience to parents.  As you know, outdoor masking and the ability to get a COVID test allows for students to not miss school even if they are exposed to COVID at school (modified quarantine).  Getting a COVID test at school is not required; as previously shared we are offering it as a convenience and resource.  A parent must consent and be present for the testing.  We are able to offer testing for at-school exposure, COVID symptoms and surveillance testing. Testing is for Dunham students only.  Please see the below information about registering, consent and availability.  I want to offer a special thank you to Maggie Vasquez in the school office for figuring out a way to offer this resource to Dunham students.
