It was another fun learning week at Dunham! In addition to all the things your child did in class, ask him/her about apple cider making at garden and our practice earthquake drill.
Red Ribbon Week
The theme for this year’s Red Ribbon Week is “Life is Your Journey, Travel Drug Free.” This week, students will discuss making healthy choices for themselves and their bodies.
Spirit Day – Wear Red
Our first spirit day will be Wednesday, October 24. To participate, students should wear red in honor of Red Ribbon Week.
Oktoberfest
Friday, October 26 is our PTO sponsored Oktoberfest. This fun family night will include pumpkin decorating, outdoor movie viewing, and a potluck (see the flier in today’s Friday Folder). Potluck contributions are sorted by grade level:
- TK – 1st Grade – Main Dish
- 2nd – 4th – Side Dish
- 5th – 6th – Dessert
You can sign up on your classroom’s door to indicate what food item you’re bringing.
Sewer Caps
Please be aware that the green “pods” in the gravel at the front of the school are sewer caps. For your child’s safety, please do not allow your children to jump or play on them.
Parent Conferences
Parent Conferences are coming up from November 13 – 16. This is a wonderful opportunity to meet with your child’s teacher to discuss how he/she is doing in class. 1st Trimester Report Cards will also be given to you at your conference. Sign ups for conferences will be shared next week.
