Monday Morning Assembly
We have an assembly on Monday, December 3 from 8 – 8:30. 4th grade will be spotlighted and 1st trimester Honor Roll certificates will be given out to 4th – 6th grade students whose grades qualified. Everyone is welcome to come.
Create and Donate is on Sunday, 11 – 3 in the Community Room
Interested in making your own home decor and/or giving a creative, thoughtful gift for the holidays? Then you and your child(ren) should plan to come to our ‘Create and Donate’ fundraiser this Sunday.
Giving Hearts
Want to help make the holidays brighter for a child in Sonoma County? Our annual ‘Giving Hearts’ tree will be up starting this week. If you choose to participate, you can select a heart(s). Please bring the wrapped item back to the office by Friday, December 14.
2nd Trimester Drama Enrichment
As some of you may know, Ms. Dana, our drama teacher extraordinaire, had a knee replacement surgery this past summer. Unfortunately, she recently let us know that her doctor feels she needs to take more time to recover and so she is going to be unable to teach our 2nd trimester drama enrichment. She is still planning to continue with the K – 2 after school drama production in the spring.
In the meantime, we will be working on an alternative plan for a second trimester enrichment.
NED Assembly – Growth Mindset
On December 10 we will be having a growth mindset assembly. The focus of the assembly aligns perfectly with our school’s growth mindset focus and includes messages about:
-Never Give Up – to understand the Power of Yet
-Encourage Others – to spark courage in other people
-Do their personal best – to always be learning and growing
This assembly is being brought to us for free because we are using the ‘pay it forward’ model, meaning that the yo-yos they use during the show will be available for sale for a week following the assembly (see the Friday Folder flier for more information).
