New Principal/Superintendent
Congratulations to Mr. Daniel Hoffman, Dunham’s new Superintendent/Principal! Mr. Hoffman comes to us with 17 years of experience in education. He is very eager to build relationships with all of you and join the Dunham community. Please read his introduction letter to find out more about him. Mr. Hoffman is hoping to join us for some of the Carnival festivities on the last day of school. If you get the opportunity, please take the time to introduce yourself to him. Welcome Mr. Hoffman!
New Teaching Staff
We are very excited to welcome Ms. Katie Kidder and Ms. Crystal Friscia to our Dunham teaching team! Many of you will know and recognize Ms. Kidder. Her positivity, energy, and care for students is evident in all that she does, and she is going to be a fantastic 1st grade teacher! If you get a chance, please congratulate her the next time you see here. Ms. Friscia has a great deal of early childhood experience and is going to be a tremendous TK teacher! She is really excited to join the Dunham community and is already taking opportunities to volunteer in the classroom. Please join me in welcoming them both aboard.
6th Grade Promotion
On Wednesday we will be having 6th Grade Promotion. We love getting to celebrate the accomplishments of our 6th graders and send them off with all of our well wishes.
The promotion itself happens in the front section of our Dunham parking lot. While the lot will be open in the morning, please be aware that the gate going out of the parking lot will be closed at dismissal time. Please do not park in the front section (facing Roblar Rd.) parking spaces in the morning. We will be using the main lot as a circular drive thru for end of the day dismissal. Of course, you are welcome to park and come pick up your child from class as well. We thank you in advance for your patience.
Sneak Peek
On Tuesday, your child will get a chance to take a “sneak peek” of their classroom for next year. This is a great opportunity for them to get a glimpse of the exciting year ahead.
Assembly
It’s hard to believe that Tuesday is our last assembly of the year! At this assembly we will be recognizing students for Honor Roll, Westside Relays, PE Record Breakers, Perfect Attendance, and Million Words Read. We encourage you to attend.
Lost and Found
We have a lot of lost and found items in the bin and on the rack. If your child is missing any items, please be sure to check for them. Anything left at the end of the year will be donated.
Garden Raffle Winner
Congratulations to Crissy Connelly, the winner of the hanging planter! Thank you to everyone who came out and supported the school garden at Open House!
