Reminder: Individual School Pictures will be taken on Thursday, October 4.
Order forms for school pictures are in your child’s Friday folder this week. You can send your order form with your child on Thursday or drop it off in the office.
Monday Morning Assembly
You are invited to attend our Monday Morning Assembly from 8 -8:30. During the assembly, Walk-A-Thon art winners will be announced, our growth mindset/toolbox focus will be shared, Student Council representatives will be announced, and we’ll share some upcoming events.
Whole school assemblies are generally held the first Monday of every month. Future assemblies will include a grade level spotlight where different grades have signed up to share things they are working on.
Growth Mindset / Toolbox Focus
To further our commitment to Toolbox and Growth Mindset, the staff has aligned various growth mindset phrases with each tool. These important concepts will be discussed in every classroom on our campus. Here is our current focus:
BREATHING TOOL: “I can do hard things.” “I cheer myself up when it gets hard.”
Here is how you can help at home. First, model using these phrases or tools in your own life and share how they help you. Second, talk to your kid about these ideas and encourage him/her to apply them in various situations.
TRIBES
We love building community amongst all kids on our campus, and TRIBES is a wonderful way to do that. For those of you who don’t know, TRIBES consists on 1-2 kids in every grade level coming together to form a TRIBE. Each TRIBE is run by a staff member and focuses on building healthy relationships amongst all of its members. TRIBES meetings occur once a month on the 1st Wednesday. This week we will have our first TRIBES day.
