Family Reading Night!

Join us next Wednesday,11/5 from 6 - 7PM for Family Reading Night! We are very pleased to have local Author Matthew Gollub join us to perform a story or two and give a few pointers on how parents can support literacy at home. Matthew will begin promptly at 6PM. At 6:30 we will break into family groups to read stories. The Scholastic Book Fair will also be open in the library during this time for you visit (a percentage of sales come back to Dunham PTO). Bring a blanket and pillow (and your jammies if you like)!

Greetings, and Welcome!

Nestled in the rural dairy lands of North Petaluma, Dunham Elementary Charter School serves 180 students in grades TK-6.  Our small size affords us the ability to know every family and child on a personal level: their likes, their learning styles, and their dreams.  With only one class per grade level, our kids feel a real sense of family and stability as they grow up together.

At Dunham we offer:

  • Small Class Sizes
  • Individual Attention
  • Project and Tech-Based Learning
  • One laptop per child
  • Beautiful Country Setting
  • Garden, Drama, P.E., and Music
  • Affordable Aftercare
  • Small Group instruction for remedial and accelerated learning
  • Strong community involvement

Because Kindergarten usually starts the year with a waiting list, I always encourage parents to apply early.  We conduct one lottery per month, and those who arrive early are typically able to secure a spot.  If you are interested in another grade level, give us a call for information about availability.

If you would like meet with me personally and tour the campus, just call the office and schedule an appointment.  We also have a Facebook page, which can help give you a feel for the school and community.  "Like" us to receive updates!

Thanks for visiting -

Adam Schaible, Principal/Superintendent
