January 22, 2021
Hello Dunham Families,
I hope you are all doing well. 2021 has gotten off to a quick start and it’s almost already February. On January 14, 2021, the California Department of Public Health (CDPH) released updated COVID-19 school reopening guidance. We are working on updating our plan to comply with the new guidance and will continue to monitor State and County guidelines and case statistics. We are hopeful that the vaccine will be available for Sonoma County educators during the month of February.
February 1st is the 100th day of school. In celebration of the100th day it is also, “Dress Like You Are 100” spirit day. Though we had originally thought this spirit day would be in-person we encourage all Dunham Dragons to show your school spirit and dress up. If you would like to share your school spirit with your classmates have a parent email a picture to dhoffman@dunhamsd.k12.ca.us and we will post it on the school’s Facebook page.
We are looking for pictures for the school year book. This year we are getting extra creative and need your help. Please see the attached flyer below for more information. If you have any questions please contact Maggie Vasquez in the office at mvasquez@dunhamsd.k12.ca.us.
Calling all 6th Graders! We are looking for a cover for this year’s yearbook. Get out your markers, crayon, watercolors and pastels. Please see the attached flyer below for contest details. If you have any questions please contact Maggie Vasquez in the office at mvasquez@dunhamsd.k12.ca.us
It is school registration time! If you have a future TK or Kindergartener at home that is either turning 5 by September 2nd 2021 (for Kindergarten) or turns 5 between September 2nd to December 31st, 2021 (for TK), please call the office so we can make sure we have a spot for them in our next year classes. Also, we have room for students in all grades. As you know, Dunham is a unique and great place to go to school. Our campus, culture, programs, staff, community, families and traditions make for an exceptional educational experience. If you have a family member, friend or neighbor that is looking for a school please send them our way. We’d love a chance to meet with them and further discuss our wonderful school. We appreciate your support.
We have Dunham lawn signs available. If you did not get one last year or need a new one just let the office know and we can get you one so you can show off your Dunham pride.
Take care,
Daniel Hoffman
Superintendent / Principal
