Hello Dunham Families,
What a fantastic first week of school it has been! It was great to see so many familiar faces and wonderful to meet many new faces. There is a great energy on campus as everyone is excited to get the school year off and running. I am so glad all of you are here at Dunham. With the first week of school completed I looked forward to a wonderful school year with everyone.
Forms to be filled out are being sent home today via backpack mail. Below are some important updates and reminders, please take a few minutes to read through them.
Have a wonderful weekend,
Daniel Hoffman
Superintendent / Principal
DAYCARE
I am happy to share that we are making progress. Next week we will be able to offer after school daycare for students in any grade up until 4:00 p.m. Please remember that a student needs to be fully registered for daycare at least 24 hours prior to attending daycare. There is an annual registration fee of $30 per child (not per a family) that is due at the time of registration.
PICK UP
Pick up is going well and we appreciate everyone’s patience. We have noticed some students being waved over to cut across the busy parking lot by adults picking up. Please do not have your student cut through the parking lot to get to your vehicle. The two best and safest options are, first, to either drive through our parent pick up line on the Roblar side of the school, where the yellow curb is. This is where students should be picked up if an adult is not getting out of the car. The second option would be to park your vehicle in a designated space and come and get your student so they can be accompanied through the busy parking lot by you.
Also, just as a reminder, please do not leave your vehicle unattended at the yellow curb.
All of these measures might be a little inconvenient but the goal is to keep everyone safe and we appreciate your help in doing so.
MASKS / FACE COVERINGS
Everyone has done great with masks, thank you. There have been some questions on the types of masks. Here are the rules for masks:
A face covering means: a covering made of fabric that covers only the nose and mouth and surrounding areas of the lower face. Approved types of face coverings are double layer cloth masks and disposable 2 or 3-ply medical face masks only. Bandanas, gaiters, plastic masks and masks with exhale valves/vents are not acceptable.
We have masks available at school for students who forget, damage or lose theirs.
BACK TO SCHOOL NIGHT
We are in the process of receiving COVID guidance for back to school night and we will update you as that becomes finalized.
