It was another beautiful week at Dunham! The Buddy Bench is in and has already been put to use. Hope to see you and your family tonight for Back to School BINGO , 6 – 7:30 in the Community Room.
Toolbox
The Toolbox program is an important part of our school. This social-emotional program focuses on tools that kids can use to care for themselves and solve problems with others. All classrooms discuss these tools and children are encouraged to use them at school. We would love it if you could talk to your child(ren) about the tools and even share how you personally use these tools in your life.
Our current focus tool is the breathing tool. Focusing on your breath and taking a deep breath are great ways to calm yourself and check in with your emotions.
Cal Skate Night
Our first Dunham PTO Cal Skate night is next Wednesday, September 19 from 6:00 – 8:00! Cal Skate night is a popular ongoing PTO event that kids, parents, siblings and friends can all participate in. Skaters can bring their own skates or rent some on the spot. All skill levels are welcome (skate buddies are available for new skaters too). Come skate with friends next week and remember that the class with the most attendance gets a shout out and a prize at the skating rink!
Water Testing
As per regulation, our water is consistently tested to ensure it’s safe for drinking. In our most recent series of tests, the copper level was at 0.625 mg/L, which is significantly below the allowable amount of 1.300 mg/L. The lead level came in at 0.0061 mg/L, which is far below the permissible amount of 0.0150. These results mean that our water is safe for drinking . We will continue to perform all necessary tests to ensure it’s safety. If you would like more information and/or to see the testing results, please go to our school website here:
After School Clubs
We are excited to be offering a wide range of engaging after school club opportunities to our kids. Our goal is to fill these classes to capacity so that we can continue getting these types of programs to come to Dunham, so if you haven’t already and would like your kids to join, please sign your kids up.
We currently have some open spots in tennis and taekwondo! You can use the following links to sign up:

Daycare Program
We are in the process of switching over to a computer-based system at Daycare. If you intend to send your child to Daycare sometime during the school year, please complete the online registration form. The link is on our website under Daycare, and it can also be found here:
